Is it possible to create an Excel spreadsheet, post it to the web, and have visitors enter data?

I am trying to create a web page using Excel or some other program that will allow visitors to enter simple data. Mostly text. I want them to enter NAME and TEST SCORE. Pretty simple but i am not sure how to start a search for the necessary information.
The form is for a website that all the firefighters at my department use. It is just a general discussion forum and we can all be trusted with the data. If it got deleted it would be no big deal. I just want the data to be easily accessable and editable.

You will find it easier just to use some simple html forms instead of trying to use an excell spreadsheet.

It will serve the same purpose and will definately work.

Thats your basic form. You then need to have some server side langauge (such as php, javascript, vbscript) to take the results and enter them into a database for instance.
