Area Domain

If you want to register domain names online, you are required to do it through an authorized domain name registrar. This is an organization or company and it provides services for domain name registration for the public. To keep your domain name safe, you need to take some precautions. Authorization for these services comes from the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or ICANN, an organization that concerns directly Internet governance. A registrar can also get an authorization from its government, in order to register names for domains within a specific country code Top Level Domain name extension, or ccTLD. The responsibility of a registrar is the creation and maintenance of a WHOIS database for its own customers.

To register domain names may be a more difficult task to complete, but you can do it for sure. After the registration, there is still work to do in keeping that name safe. Numerous calls and emails made everyday concern companies who lose control or ownership of their domain names. The common problems that occur after you register domain names are due to your own employees, third parties, vandals and others. There are some helpful tips that can protect your domain name from these people.

When you register domain names, the information you send to the registrar must be correct in order to control your domain. Many companies hire web developers or Internet service providers for securing the names of their domains and for developing their websites. However, the general recommendation is to avoid such situations. You should never allow third parties to register your domain name without instructions and oversight. You must control the information you send to the registrar, in order to have any control over the name of your domain.

When you create your account with the registrar, you also establish the account number, login name and password. You should keep these a secret at all times. The password you use should contain letters, numbers, and uppercase and lowercase characters in order to keep it safe from hackers. If you forget the password, you can easily recover it. All changes to the domain account occur through the e-mail address of the registrant. If there is another email address that is trying to modify the information in your account, the registrar will not consider it valid. You should not use the e-mail of an employee or partners for registration, because in case of a difference of opinion and if that person leaves the company, you are in trouble.

You should always lock your name. If you want to register domain names online, you are required to do it through an authorized domain name registrar. This is an organization or company and it provides services for name registration for the public. To keep your name safe, you need to take some precaution. If the registrars receive a transfer request from a third party, they will send you a confirmation e-mail. If you fail to respond to that e-mail and the domain remains unlocked, the authorization for the transfer comes automatically. If you lock the domain, this will never happen. You should watch out for spam e-mails that pose as your registrar and be very careful when you respond to any information requests about your domain by mail or email. Ninety percent of them are frauds.

Do not forget to renew the registration of the name. If the e-mail is wrong, you will not get the notice for renewal and you will lose the name of your domain. You should check the information in the WHOIS database regularly to be sure that the contact and email information are accurate. If you would lose the name of your domain, some might have purchased the rights for the name of your domain in case it expires. This happens because it has a built-in traffic and they can use it for their own purposes.

The best way you can protect the name of your domain is by law. In case you lose control of the name of your domain, you can call an attorney that specializes in this area. Domain names are valuable assets for companies. Nevertheless, in order to avoid the interruption of the activities and the loss of substantial revenues, you can approach the problem from a different legal point of view. You can establish that name as a trademark. The laws concerning domains concern directly the trademark rights you have in using the words for naming your domain. This will give you a substantial advantage for keeping the name of your domain.

About the Author:

Open-Domain Question Answering (Foundations and Trends(R) in Information Retrieval)

$105.48

Open-Domain Question Answering is an introduction to the field of Question Answering (QA). It covers the basic principles of QA along with a selection of systems that have exhibited interesting and significant techniques, so it serves more as a tutorial than as an exhaustive survey of the field. Starting with a brief history of the field, it goes on to describe the architecture of a QA system before analysing in detail some of the specific approaches that have been successfully deployed by academia and industry designing and building such systems. Open-Domain Question Answering is both a guide for beginners who are embarking on research in this area, and a useful reference for established researchers and practitioners in this field.

The Third Domain

The Third Domain is the untold story of how the discovery of a new form of lifeâ??first ridiculed, then ignored for the past thirty years by mainstream scientistsâ??is revolutionizing science, industry, and even our search for extraterrestrial life. Classification is a serious issue for science: if you don’t know what you’re looking at, how can you interpret what you see? Starting with Carolus Linnaeus in the 17th century, scientists have long struggled to order and categorize the many forms of life on Earth. But by the early 20th century the tree of life seemed to have stabilized, with two main domains of life at its roots: single-celled and multi-celled organisms. All creatures fit into one of these two groups. Or so we thought. But in 1977, a lone scientist named Carl Woese determined that archaeaâ??biochemically and genetically unique organisms that live and thrive in some of the most inhospitable environments on Earthâ??were a distinct form of life, unlike anything seen on Earth before. This shocking discovery was entirely incompatible with the long-standing classification of life as we know it. But as it turned out, archaea were not life as we know it, and the tree of life had to be uprooted once again. Now, archaea are being hailed as one of the most important scientific revelations of the 20th century. The Third Domain tells the story of their strange potential and investigates their incredible history to provide a riveting account of an astonishing discovery.

Borknagar's first U.S. album, The Olden Domain, is an impressive, highly musical black metal outing; the typical Norwegian blasts of sound are largely eschewed in favor of detailed arrangements employing electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, piano, and vocals that range from the typical growl to an almost James Hetfield-like quality. Echoes of Metallica and Mercyful Fate permeate the record, but Borknagar is undeniably carving out its own territory. ~ Steve Huey, All Music GuidePerformers: Ivar Bjørnson - Synthesizer; Øystein G. Did You Know? In 1523 Estevan Gomez kidnapped two natives near today's Newport, Rhode Island, and took them to Spain where the king ordered them freed. As the French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese and English kidnapped natives of the Americas at will, it became standard practice for white explorers in the wildernesses of America to be hailed by knowing bilinguals. The explorers were threatened by some for good reason. William Penn astonished Charles II by asking what right he had to grab land from Americans. "What," blustered the king, "have I not the right of discovery?" "Just suppose," countered the good Quaker, "a canoe full of savages should by accident discover England; would you abdicate or sell?" After the War for Independence, the stage was set for wholesale theft of Indian lands, for all Indians bore the stigma, real or presumed, of being enemy because many in the North and the South, including the Six Nations, aided the British. They were told they had been on the losing side and according to white man's customs must surrender territory as reparation. Eminent Domain documents the theft of North America by deceitful Europeans and their descendants from its native peoples. Had the Indians banded together and hired a smart international lawyer, had there been one, it would have done them no good for there was no international judge or jury such as The World Court and UN Security Council. They were doomed by the white men's arms, diseases and dishonesty to lose everything.

Concepts of Frequency Domain Equalization

Concepts of Frequency Domain Equalization

$90.48

The concepts of frequency domain equalization represent the most powerful strategies to combat time dispersion caused by multipath propagation in broadband wireless communication systems. Performing equalization in the frequency domain allows for a computational efficient implementation because the effort grows significantly lower with the bandwidth compared to equalization in the time domain. Two well known frequency domain concepts exist: OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) and SC/ FDE (Single Carrier Transmission with Frequency Domain Equalization). While the interest on OFDM was almost overwhelming, the interest on SC/FDE has been growing rapidly only recently. A primary topic of this work is the extension and alternative formulation of the SC/FDE system as it is usually understood. Further more the basic concept is characterised in terms of equalization strategies, higher order modulation schemes, synchronization, channel estimation, channel coding or front-end implementation effort. Finally an overall comparison of OFDM and SC/FDE is carried out, characterising advantages and disadvantages.
